Jackson Hole Powder Skiing: 3 Feet of Snow in 48 Hours

One of our best snow reports this season, Jackson Hole has received 3 feet of snow in 48 hours. Visitors and locals alike are hitting the slopes, and we hope you can join the fun.

According to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, “Today, those on the hill experienced leaving their mark on a completely fresh canvas for the 3rd day in a row. The mountain is in the best shape of the season and seems to quickly be going from ‘low tide’ to ‘high tide’ as discussed on chairlifts throughout the morning.”

When you think Jackson Hole, people think snow-capped peaks, cowboy powder and epic skiing. And they’re right. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is one of the best ski resorts in the nation. Jackson Hole’s famed “Big Red” tram transports 100 passengers to the resort’s 10,450-foot summit, and from the top of the tram, skiers and riders are able to access 4,139 vertical feet of continuous skiing and riding. If you’re treated to a lot of fresh powder, just as we have been, and you’re able to get first tram, you will have the chance to glide through the untracked, light, bone-dry cowboy powder that has made Jackson Hole famous for all these years.
