Enjoying Late Summer and Fall in Jackson Hole

It’s no secret that late summer and fall are a wonderful time to visit Jackson Hole. Not only is there something truly magical about seeing the leaves turn a spectacular gold, bronze and red, but the weather is still pleasant and there are fewer tourists. Which we all know is enticing right now.

Whether you are looking to escape for a week or months at a time, we have a place for you to experience Jackson Hole. Our team can customize your experience to best fit your needs while on vacation. As we like to put it – What does social distancing mean to you? We can customize it.

To give you a head start on planning your trip, we are listing a few of our favorite late summer and fall activities that will also allow you to stay safe distances.

It should come as no surprise that our favorite thing to do in Jackson Hole this time of year is to enjoy our two national parks. The colors are beautiful, the animals are coming lower into the valleys and, most importantly, these tourist type areas much less populated. We can arrange a private tour of our parks for your visit because the wildlife can be a buzz this time of year.

If you like to venture out on your own, hiking and biking in the cooler temperatures is enjoyable for both beginners and the experienced. There are a multitude of trails in our parks as well as around the valley. Our pathway systems will keep you busy all day.

Maybe time on the Snake River is more your speed, this is the perfect time to get your fishing on and our local outfitters have put protocol in place to keep you and your guide safe. Although, you might plan to enjoy the tranquility of the river on your own by taking advantage of wade fishing.
