The colors are beautiful, the animals are coming lower into the valleys and, most importantly, these tourist type areas much less populated. We can arrange a private tour of our parks for your visit because the wildlife can be a buzz this time of year.

If you like to venture out on your own, hiking and biking in the cooler temperatures is enjoyable for both beginners and the experienced. There are a multitude of trails in our parks as well as around the valley. Our pathway systems will keep you busy all day.

Maybe time on the Snake River is more your speed, this is the perfect time to get your fishing on and our local outfitters have put protocol in place to keep you and your guide safe. Although, you might plan to enjoy the tranquility of the river on your own by taking advantage of wade fishing.

Jackson Hole Fourth of July

There is something magical about Fourth of July in Jackson Hole. Like many small communities, Jackson Hole loves to celebrate patriotism and the independent spirit of this stunning mountain town. One of the Jackson’s premier summertime events, there are fireworks and festivities all over town. This year might look a little different with the parade being canceled, but you’ll find other safe and fun Fourth of July celebrations in the area. Here, we are listing event happenings:

Fireworks | July 4 | 10pm

Snow King Mountain is hosting their annual fireworks display on the night of the 4th over at the local town ski hill, but the ball field will be closed for viewing. People are encouraged to watch the displays from their homes, hotels or cars, or to drive to a spot on public land where they can see the show and be physically distanced from others who are not in the same household.

Teton Village will also be hosting a spectacular fireworks display on July 4th as well as one at Stilson transit center. They encourage visitors to enjoy the show from nearby residences, cars, or other spaces in which everyone can maintain proper social distancing procedures. More information here.

Townsquare Shootout | July 4 | 6pm

Watch a lively reenactment of frontier justice on the Jackson Town Square in what is the longest, continuously running shootout show in the country! The Jackson Hole Playhouse is evaluating the ability to host the Town Square Shootout this summer, and if they are able to operate for the Fourth of July, the public will be notified here.

We will continue to update this page as we receive more information on July 4th festivities. We also encourage you to visit the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce for up to date event information.

While town events might be limited this year during the Fourth of July, we encourage you to get out and enjoy the open spaces of Jackson Hole as well as the other activities still available to you during your visit.
