Unique and Luxurious Ways to Explore Jackson Hole in the Winter

Our world-class ski resort with its champagne powder and luxurious amenities is definitely enough reason to visit Jackson Hole, but of course, there are excursions and ways to explore Jackson Hole off the ski hill as well. Here, we are giving you a few of our favorite things to do in Jackson Hole while staying with us this winter.

Vintage Sleigh Ride
Take a luxury sleigh ride pulled by a team of horses through our winter wonderland along the Snake River where you can enjoy the tranquility of the area and possibly see a variety of wildlife. You will also enjoy the delightfully warm riverside tipi camp, where you’ll be served treats and hot cocoa, or an expertly prepared meal.

Snowcat Adventure
One of the hallmarks of the Grand Targhee Resort experience is a Snowcat Adventure, complete with breathtaking views of the Grand Teton. You and just 11 other skiers or riders can enjoy a huge powder reserve of more than 600 acres and up to 20,000 vertical feet in one day. Let a professional guide take you through expansive bowls, powder fields and steep tree pitches.

Heli-Skiing
Ever wanted to ski by helicopter? Let Wyoming’s premier Heli-Skiing company take you on the five mountain ranges surrounding Jackson Hole. If small groups, personalized service and always untracked powder snow are your thing, you are sure to love this experience.

Private Yellowstone Tours
Explore Wyoming’s vast wilderness in Yellowstone National Park by your own private snow coach or snowmobile tour. Take in the awe-inspiring landscapes, natural wonders, and spectacular wild animals including bison, moose, bears, eagles, and more alongside a knowledgable and experienced tour guide. Skiing Jackson Hole Should Top Your New Year’s Resolution List

Are you still having trouble making your New Year’s resolution list. We can make it easy for you! Visiting Jackson Hole this winter should top your list. As if being ranked top ski resort numerous times over the past few years plus the amount of snow we have recently been receiving isn’t enough reason, well below are few more reasons to ski our mountain. Jackson Hole is chock full of activities on and off mountain to make your visit one to remember and maybe even a yearly tradition. And, our homes will make it even more memorable.

Terrain for All Skier Levels

Despite Jackson Hole Mountain Resort’s reputation for being steep, there is actually a variety of terrain for all skill levels. In fact, 50% of the mountain is dedicated to intermediate and beginner levels. With a variety of terrain available, there are lots trails for everyone in your group to explore and lots of family-friendly options for little ones. And, the new Sweetwater Gondola provides a fast two-minute ride to mid-mountain giving more access to this terrain right from the base.

The Tram

Of course, we can’t not talk about “Big Red,” the Aerial Tram at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort that can carry 100 people to the top of Rendezvous Peak (10,450 feet) in just 12 minutes! For the expert skiers and backcountry enthusiasts this makes accessing Jackson Hole’s hardest runs and untracked cowboy powder even easier and something not found at many mountain resorts.

Vibrant Après Ski Scene

After a day of skiing, you will want to take in our après scene at the base of the mountain. The famed Mangy Moose has drinks, live music and nachos. The Spur has a house margarita not to be missed. If you are more of a wine person, check out Bar Enoteca. And, of course, slopeside drinks and food The Handle Bar at the Four Seasons Resort is worth a visit.

Beyond the Lifts

Beyond the lifts, our concierge can help plan your day from exhaustive list of winter activities. From heli-skiing to dog sledding to wildlife safaris, it can be arranged and privately should you wish to keep it intimate. There is no limit to the level of luxury and service our team can provide. Our team of local experts are ready to recommend and reserve everything from essentials like transportation and pre-arrival grocery delivery to local experiences like privately guided outdoor adventures and coveted restaurant reservations.
