September in Jackson Hole

Are you planning to experience our mountain town this September? Well, it is a perfect time! September in Jackson Hole brings cooler temps, sunshine and fun things to do. From events to outdoor activities, you won’t be at a lose of things to do. Here, we are listing a few of our favorites in September.

Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival

The Rocky Mountain cultural extravaganza and premier cultural experience of the fall taking place September 8-19, 2021 and filling the streets of Jackson and the surrounding area with activities and events devoted to highlighting and honoring the best of all things arts-oriented.

Featuring family-friendly events — many of which are free — presented against the colorful backdrop of fall foliage of the Teton Mountains, this September showcase offers the perfect time to travel to Jackson to experience the mesmerizing magnitude of talented local and national artists, who display artisanship ranging from oil paintings, watercolors and sculptures to fashion, furniture and food. Find more information here.

Take to the Skies

Imagine the colorful fall foliage from a bird’s eye perspective. Take to the skies to view Jackson Hole from above either by paragliding or taking a hot air balloon ride. As anyone who has been in a hot air balloon knows, it is an incredibly peaceful way to interact with your surroundings.

Head to the Water

A guided fly fishing trip is a world-class experience. Imagine floating down our local rivers with the opportunity to catch fish with the mountains in view. From the lunch served riverside to the knowledgeable guides, this will be one memorable experience.

Listen for the Elk Bugling

This is pretty special event. Bull elk “bugling” calls fill the air at dawn and dusk as September and October is the breeding season for elk. The result being one of nature’s most unique concerts. Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks are premium spots to observe the rutting elks and catch an earful of their calls, whether from the roadside during a scenic drive or on a hike or bike ride through the woods.

The LPJH concierge team can arrange any or all of your September adventures. Just ask! We will give you our local advice. Explore LPJH vacation rental portfolio for your next vacation to Jackson Hole.

Why Plan Next Season’s Winter Vacation

ski jackson hole

If last year put a damper on your winter travel plans, then it might be time to start planning this year’s vacation. For most of us, last year meant either changing your vacation plans or making reservations for limited lift tickets. We aren’t sure what this year is going to bring at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, but we are betting things will book up fast. But, if you aren’t a skier, that’s ok because Jackson Hole has plenty of things to do off the slopes as well. Here we have put together a list of why you should plan your trip to Jackson Hole this winter. We also invite you to explore our luxury vacation rentals as they are starting to fill fast.

1. Our snow is the best.

Our champagne powder is worth trying. Once you try it, you won’t ski anywhere else. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort averages 459 inches of snow per year on over 2,500 acres of in-bound terrain.

2. We have so much to do, not just skiing.

While Jackson Hole has made a name for itself as a winter destination with world-class skiing, there’s much more to this mountain town than its snowy slopes. From dog sledding to cross country skiing and snowshoeing, there is something for everyone and it is easily accessible. You can venture out to do it on your own (except dog sledding of course) or we can arrange a guided trip.

3. Downtown is better than ever.

Explore downtown on our wooden sidewalks. We have tons of shopping, dining and night life. From fine dining to farm-to-table, no foodie will be disappointed in Jackson Hole. Nor will the one that likes to shop or tour art galleries.

4. Unforgettable national parks.

We think the best destination for a luxury vacation is close to nature, even if it is winter. Taking a tour through our national parks in the winter provides a unique experience you won’t get in the summer. Winter wildlife and the breathtaking scenery is like nothing else.
