4th of July in Jackson Hole is Back

Fourth of July Jackson Hole

We missed the festive vibe Fourth of July in Jackson Hole brings, and we are excited to be celebrating it this year. People come together on Independence Day to celebrate patriotism and the independent spirit in our stunning mountain town. There are fireworks and festivities all over town. Please remember to be respectful of others as Wyoming, and much of the country, is reopening from travel restrictions due to the COVID-pandemic. Health authorities are asking that people still wear a mask in crowded spaces.

We are breaking down all the festivities for the fourth:

Fourth of July Event Schedule from Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce
10 am: Fourth of July Parade
8 pm: Jackson Hole Rodeo
10 pm: Fireworks at JHMR
10 pm: Fireworks at Snow King Mountain
10 pm: Fireworks at Teton Village

Jackson Hole Fourth of July Parade | 10 am | Downtown Jackson

An annual tradition that celebrates small town culture, ranching history, independence and community.
Starts at The Jackson Hole fairgrounds, proceeds down Glenwood Ave., passes near Town Square on Broadway Ave., then returns to the fairgrounds via S. Willow St. Please keep social distancing in mind as you find your spot to watch the parade.
Intricately-decorated floats, riders on horseback, bike, and rollerskaters, dancers and performers, and much more make this event festive and celebratory. To add to the fun, judges award the top three floats highly-coveted prizes at the end of the event.

This year marks a special parade in history, as Teton County turns 100 years old and the Jackson Hole Chamber turns 75. Commemorative floats honoring these milestones will lead the 2021 parade!

Jackson Hole Rodeo | 8 pm | JH Fairgrounds

Rodeo has been a part of Jackson’s cowboy culture for over 100 years, and the Fourth of July rodeo is a special tradition you don’t want to miss. Tickets available here.

Fourth of July Fireworks | 10 pm | Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Stilson, Snow King Mountain

Watch spectacular fireworks displays from three separate locations: a Town of Jackson display sponsored by Teton Board of Realtors, a Teton Village Association – sponsored show at Stilson Transit Center, or a second presentation at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in the Village.

We hope you have a fun and safe Independence Day!

Live by the Wild Rules

They were here first. The snowcapped mountains. Generations of elk herd. Pine trees that touch the sky. Mother nature’s greatest feats are everywhere. And in Jackson Hole, we’re lucky enough to live among them. But somewhere, somehow, we lost our way. We ran so wild that we forgot our place in the wild. We need a reminder that the wild rules.

Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism Board and Visit Jackson Hole are reminding our visitors to help us respect mother nature and continue sustainable travel. Summer won’t last forever, but with your help, the spirit of Jackson Hole can. Learn how you can help preserve the nature of this special place >>

THE WILDLIFE WERE HERE FIRST
Treat them with respect and give them space. Stay 100 yards from bears and wolves and 25 yards from all other wildlife. The local wildlife are truly our neighbors. It’s not uncommon to see moose in your backyard or cross paths with a deer on a bike ride. But this is technically their home — we’re all just guests in it. As such, it’s up to us to mind our manners. Keep reading how to safely and respectfully appreciate Jackson Hole’s treasured wildlife.

DON’T WALK ALL OVER THE WILD
Take only photos, leave only footprints on marked trails. It can take the ecosystem 10 to 30 years to recover from off-trail hiking. Read more >>

GO WHEREVER THE BIKE PATH TAKES YOU
Stay on marked bike trails, maintain a safe speed, and use extra caution on mixed-use trails. Whether carving up a mountain on a trail or cruising through town, there are few feelings more freeing than a bike ride. Not only is our single track world-class; Jackson Hole has seemingly endless miles of paved pathways that take you anywhere you want to go. Biking is also an easy alternative to driving around town during the peak summer season. Read on for the local’s take on how to make the most a bike ride.
