Under the Pass
Wilson sits where the valley runs out of flat ground: a school, a general store, a post office and a bar gathered at the foot of Teton Pass, 6 miles west of Jackson on Highway 22. Fish Creek — a true spring creek — slides through the middle of it under big cottonwoods, and the steepest wall of the range stands directly overhead.
The surprise is how much of Wilson moves under its own power. A paved pathway runs the flat 6 miles to the town square, and on summer evenings it carries a steady run of bikes long after dinner. Moose treat the Fish Creek willows as their own. And on powder mornings you can read the snow report in the parking habits: the pass above town is the valley’s backcountry commons, and its pullouts fill before first light.
Our Wilson residences suit guests on a return trip — people done with proving anything, who want quiet lanes, mature trees and the valley as locals keep it. The practical case is simple: you are 10 minutes from dinner in town and about 15 from the tram, and nothing between here and either one feels like a resort.

Winter
Pass Mornings
Storm days are measured in inches and pass reports. Skiers skin the bootpack above town before work, and the woodstoves stay lit from Thanksgiving well into April.
Spring
High Water
Fish Creek runs full and loud through May, moose calve in the willows, and the cottonwoods leaf out weeks before the pass sheds its snow. Bring a rain shell and binoculars.
Summer
Screen-Door Weather
