Built Around the Tram
Teton Village is not a town. It is the cluster of lodges, restaurants and residences that grew up at the foot of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, and its whole character comes from that proximity: you can be in the tram line in the time it takes most people to find their car keys.
The surprise is summer. From June the mountain turns inside out: the tram carries hikers instead of skiers — there are waffles at the top, 10,450 feet up — the gondola hauls mountain bikes, and Grand Teton’s Granite Canyon entrance sits just north on the Moose–Wilson road. The village goes quiet early, and dinner moves onto the decks while the light holds on the Sleeping Indian across the valley.
Our residences here are for mornings that start on snow: the tram line on foot, dinner within a few hundred yards, no car required once you arrive — the bus runs to town all day, and the airport is a 35-minute transfer. If the trip is built around the mountain, stay at the mountain; town is 12 miles away when you want it.

Winter
The Obvious Season
Storm cycles stack up, the tram loads early, and everything the day needs — rentals, guides, ski school, dinner — sits within a few hundred steps of the snow.
Spring
Closing Weeks
March skis best — long days on a deep base — and the lifts close in early April. What follows is the quietest the village gets all year; some doors close for the break.
Summer
The Mountain, Inside Out
Hikers and bikes replace skis on the lifts, trailheads start at the door, and evenings bring music to the base lawns. Grand Teton's Granite Canyon gate is minutes up the road.
Autumn
The Local Favourite
Aspens turn through late September, the elk bugle in the canyons, and you will have the trails largely to yourself.
